Mahjong Courses Are Up and Running

Updated: Oct 30, 2022

Our courses are running!

We are so pleased to announce our mahjong courses are now running. We offer 2 methods of taking our courses: the regular courses and the fast track version. Our regular courses are paced to provide modules at intervals so you do not get overwhelmed by information. The fast track version removes the intervals so you can learn however quickly you would like to,

The courses we offer are either The Quick Start Method or The Full Course. You can go at your own pace and you have lifetime access to the course.

The Full Course covers all aspects of the game. You begin by focusing on the essential skills, build speed and efficiency, and then progress to making advanced level hands. We then take you deeper and teach you the rules and gameplay, etiquette, scoring and money, and go over different strategies for forming hands, game play, and defensive play. Our approach builds you up from absolute beginner to a novice level within 6 months. You get immediate access to modules 1 & 2, with subsequent modules opening up every 2 weeks. The Full Course has 110 lessons delivered via 12 modules. Most lessons are kept short so that you can fit your mahjong lessons anytime or anywhere.

Alternatively, you can take the Full Course - Fast Track version. This removes any module scheduling. Your courses open up automatically as you progress through the course. You can take as long as you want or go as quickly as you want.

The Quick Start Method is our other course offering. It aims to get you up and running quickly so you can play online or with your family and friends in a short period of time. If you join others at a table for mahjong, you will need to have at least one person that is very familiar with the game at your table as you are learning essential skills, not everything. You will learn how to recognize every mahjong tile quickly and effectively. You will learn game play basics, how to make mahjong hands, and some advanced level hands. You will not learn aspects of the game that are not necessary when you are starting out. If you play online, these aspects of the game are taken care of for you. If you are playing with other people, they can take care of these aspects of the game while you focus on building your skills and gaining experience. The regular version of the course is delivered over 3 months. You get access to modules 1, 2, and 3 immediately. You then get access to module 4 one month later, and module 5 one month after that.

Alternatively, you can take the Quick Start Method - Fast Track version. This removes any module scheduling. Your courses open up automatically as you progress through the course. You can take as long as you want or go as quickly as you want. If you want to get up to speed to play with friends by the up coming weekend, this is the course you will want to take.

The Quick Start Method has 55 lessons delivered via 5 modules.

Quick Start Part II is the continuation of the Quick Start Method course. Once you have a basic understanding of the mahjong tiles, chows and pongs, you may want to continue your learning. This course provides the remaining lessons so you can get deeper into mahjong. You learn scoring, game play details, and other skills. Part II is available in regular scheduled format over 3 months or in the Fast Track version.

The Quick Start Method and Quick Start Part II combined are equivalent to The Full Course.
